Attorney Biography
For over 30 years, my law practice has been devoted exclusively to civil appeals and writ petitions. I formerly was a partner in charge of the appellate department at a large San Jose law firm. For the past 23 years, I have managed a successful solo practice.
I have special expertise in appeals before the Sixth District Court of Appeal in San Jose. The Pacific Law Journal published three of my articles on the Sixth District. In each article, I analyzed the court’s published opinions in civil cases over a three-year period. Also, as a past chair of the Appellate Courts Section of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, I had the honor to introduce at bar luncheons five Sixth District justices, two of whom still serve on the court. Few, if any, attorneys have argued as many civil appeals before the Sixth District as I have. Among attorneys who have a law practice located within the jurisdiction of the Sixth District, I have the rare distinction of being both a State Bar certified specialist in appellate law and a member of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers.
